Our Mission

To know God spiritually, personally, and collectively. To love God, others, and ourselves.

To serve God, humanity, and community. Whether you're new to Second Calvary or you've been around awhile, we encourage you to get involved first in a bible study class, so that you can grow in the knowledge of the Lord, and in one of our many ministries so that you can grow in service to the Lord, as well. One of the mistakes we make in joining the church is that we miss the wonderful blessings of the faith because we never really get to know Christ.

The only way we can get to know Him is by spending time studying the word of God. Wouldn't you want to know more about the man that died for your sins? Of course you would. Not coming to know Him means that He never gets a chance to become the Lord of your life and not just your savior.

When you join the church you join the body of Christ. The church is not just a place of worship and praise, but a place of preparing to render service for Christ.

Our Worship

We pray together because the Bible reads, “They lifted up their voices to God with one accord…”(Acts 4:24) We lift our hands in praise because in the Bible we read, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.” (Psalm 132:2) We sing with all our hearts because in the Bible we read, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth; make a loud noise and rejoice, and sing praise.” (Psalm 98:4)

Our Faith

We believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God, who died on the cross in our place as the supreme sacrifice for sin, was buried, but rose again on the third day. We believe in the divine inspiration of the scriptures and that the Word of God is the sufficient rule of faith and practice, and the final authority for truth and salvation. We believe in water baptism by immersion. We believe in the Church, established by the Lord as a spiritual community for worship, stewardship, and service to God and men. We believe in the Judgment Day, when all men will stand before God to account for their lives, where the unconverted will be punished, and the true Christians will receive their just rewards. We believe in tithing and offerings as the methods of supporting the work of the Lord.
