We pray together because the Bible reads, “They lifted up their voices to God with one accord…”(Acts 4:24)
We lift our hands in praise because in the Bible we read, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.” (Psalm 132:2)
We sing with all our hearts because in the Bible we read, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth; make a loud noise and rejoice, and sing praise.” (Psalm 98:4)
Second Calvary Baptist
Strategic Plan (TBA)
At Second Calvary Baptist Church, it's our mission to help you explore your relationship with God and improve those meaningful relationships in your family life. To know God spiritually, personally, and collectively. To love God, others, and ourselves. To serve God, humanity, and community. Whether you are new to Second Calvary or you've been around a while, we encourage you to get involved first in a bible study class, so that you can grow in the knowledge of the Lord, and in one of our many ministries so that you can grow in service to the Lord, as well. One of the mistakes we make in joining the church is that we miss the wonderful blessings of the faith because we never really get to know Christ. Join us each Sunday and experience the warmth of faith and the strength of our community.
Outreach, Fellowship, Worship, Discipleship, and Service.
We as a church are appreciative of those in our fellowship who offer their time and gifts of service on our behalf to save lives, to make this a great place to worship, and to help build God's kingdom.
John Burroughs said: "For anything worth having one must pay the price; and the price is always work, patience, love, self-sacrifice, no paper currency, no promises to pay, but the gold of real service." This church is standing upon the foundation that has been laid by faithful servants who made great sacrifices and contributions of time, finances, talents, and wisdom. Because we are the beneficiaries of their efforts, we are required to make greater contributions on behalf of all those who will come after us.
We are especially delighted to welcome the children, grandchildren, friends, and associates of the members of Second Calvary Baptist Church who have returned to help us celebrate another year of ministry, growth, and fellowship. Over the past few years, Second Calvary Baptist Church has grown, chganged, and developed as a congregation, while at the same time, we have held on to the things that made Second Calvary a great congregation. The combination of new energy and timeless traditions has made us an even stronger church.
